Shop till you drop....Hand Bag Template

you will need i sheet of copy paper for bag template 
5 pieces of A4 card stock and wet glue
papers to decorate and embellishments of your choice

make the bag front and back template
fold A4 piece of copy paper in half as in picture above

template for front and back of bag.. should look like this
 cut 2

sides of bag cut a strip of card @ 8-1/2" x 3"
score on 3 sides @1/2"

hand bag flap  cut a strip of card @ 8-1/4"x5"
 score @ 2-3/4" and  again @ 2" as in picturw

cut another side  panel 8-1/2" x 3" for hand bag as befor
then cut a strip of card for inside of bag flap 2" x 5"

base of bag cut a strip 10-1/2" x 3"
score 1/2" on both long sides as in image
Handle cut a 2" strip of card from full lenght of A4 card Stock

Assemble your bag with wet glue i found this the best way
 it holds better and gives you enough time to get the edges perfect

 first i glue the sides tabs to the either side of the base strip 
 then glued the bag front to the 3 sides
repeated this for the back
glued the 2-3/4" piece of the hand bag flap to the inside of the bag
then added the handle glued on the underside of the 2" area of the flap
glue and cover this with the 2" x 5"liner for flap
there you have your hand bag all ready to decorate as you choose
