Christmas Fusion in distressed inks

It's My Birthday today

so treating you to another Christmas Fusion card

this time done in distressed ink
don'f forget they will be on TV tomorrow as a Pick of the week .....on Create and Craft.

here i used the smaller stamps from the plates inked with distressing ink onto water colour paper then useing a damp brush just pulled the ink out from the edges. add extra ink to get some more detail into the images
i made a stamp positioner from a piece of paper cut in a L shape so that the image was away from the edge once it was dry i went around the image with a red glitter pen matted and layered onto gold mirri then onto core-dination card stock did some faux stitching with white pen a gingham bow and gold flat back pearls
a very modern look and so easy to do ...

holly fusion with water colour back ground

a frosty christmas evening card
joined fusion with water colours paints i really enjoyed making this card

first i stamped the roof top stamp from sheena douglass bah humbug range  then over stamped with the fusion Christmas holly branch on the side  stamped extra holly leaves as i wanted to decoupage them and make a decoration for the stopper on the easle card.
i water coloured the back ground then with the fusion paints the two greens again...... over painted the holly leaves once it was dry i cut it out with a decal nestie die then added the extra leaves with gel this time i put gems on for berries  then went in with some cut glass glitter for that frosty look  all layered onto navy blue card stock
added some christmas sticky ribbon on the stopper and the extra frosted holly leaves

Dark skin tones with Brown Hair

a quicky post with a list of colours for dark brown hair done in Spectrum Noir pens
I think it works well with the dark skin tones
here are the colours i used
102...92...98...99

her face is still drying so looks alittle spotty at the moment..... it will settle down once completely dry
to get a darker skin tone on this image
i followed the same steps as i suggested on my other post on dark skin tones but added 3 extra layers on final step with 104

Christmas Wreath

hi everyone
another sneaky peek at Sheena douglass Fusion Stamps
on this stamp plate  you can to create a wreath garlands it has added bells stars and bows all these stamps will work very well with the rest of the stamps in this range

i used  a post it notes to make masks for the bell and bow
the portion of the twisted branch was joined it into a circle to make a christmas wreath firstly stamping the bow and bells masking then those off as i went around...
coloured it in with Spectrum Noir
matted on to some gold mirri card then onto contrasting brown card and cream stock with card candi to finish i added diamong glaze to the bells a simple card but very modern feel i enjoyed making this card
here is a little video  from Sheena  Showing  the Paint Fusion

Dark Skin Tones in Spectrum Noir pens

good evening crafters
i set my self a challenge to do a dark skin tones in Spectrum Noir pens  after several attempts
here is what i finally came up with that i was happy with

here are the skin tone colours
104....101...100 ..18
i laid down the lightest colour first all over 104
then added middle tone 101  and 18 for cheeks  flicking from the outside edge inwards
adding just a touch of 100 around the edges
then went back in all over with lightest colour 104 to smooth out any lines
you can get the colour to go darker if you wish just by repeating the last step...till your happy

not a candle fusion

good evening crafters
you might ask why ?...
its simply because i have still yet to paint onto a candle useing fusion stamps and paints...when the new stamps arrived i thought ok lets play see what i could come up with no more excuses lol

the small ivy stamp was perfect size to paint onto christmas baubles bit of a challenge to hold them and paint at the same time ...but never the less i did it lol ...
i should have placed bauble into a small glass tumbler that would have given me more control while painting... best ideas always pop into your head after the fact i did place them in a tumbler to dry........lol.
what a nice way to re vamp old christmas decorations with a touch of fusion
i stamped then painted with the greens added some berries and touch of crystal glitter
in this photo the glue is still wet on leaves it did dry clear

Sneaky Peep day 2 Holly Paint Fusion Stamp

hi everyone
hope your enjoying the new Fusion Stamp Range from Sheena Douglass
i have just popped over to sheena's blog she is doing a give away !!!!why not pop over and check it out ..
leave your link you could be the winner...good luck!

so here we go ....
i stamped onto water coloured paper with versa fine smoky grey ink ready to start painting
first  wet the paper well with clean water while it still had a sheen on paper i dropped in some watered down yellow just to take away the brightness of the paper once it was dry i painted the  stamped image

i used the foliage greens changing the strenght of the colours on some of the leaves by adding more or less of the darkest green paint on my brush....then just a tad of red  for berries done with brush handle dip and dot perfect berries.......... i do love doing that it's so easy ..lol
when it was dry i went in with watered down brown to add shadows to the over lapping leaves and just around some of the outer edges it makes it pop ...after it was all dry i used glossy accent  to get the shine holly leaves have when in full sun light .

i cut it out with decal nestie and distressed with tim holtz inks matted and layered onto  green satin card stock  then plain white which i edged with cut glass glitter added a ribbon bow....a few pearls and peel offs just for that extra touch of bling....

Winter Paint Fusion Sneaky Peep 2

after relaxing in a hot bubble bath pampering session i thought i would share  another sneaky peep with you all
here is a Fusion painted card
this is one of the brand spanky new stamp plates our lovely Sheena Douglass is bringing to you this Friday
on the stamp plate you will get the main image and smaller images plus the word stamp ...how great is that ....
you can use them together or on there own the choice is all yours....

here i used the main image stamped on to water colour paper then set too mixing my paints  i used the foliage set for the greens  and a touch of white paint just on the tip of the brush
i stamped out extra leaves and painted those in the same as the main image as i wanted to use these as added decoration on bow

once it had dried i watered down some of the brown paint and added some shading to some of the leaves its very faint so you hardly see it .. but its there lol ....

cut it out with a die  distressed around the edge then matted and layered onto contrasting card stock all onto a 8x8 coffee coloured pearl card blank with some satin ribbon and few pearls
not tradtional christmas colours something abit different........ i like the effect
you could use these stamps all year round use them with other stamps you might have... im sure you will be making beautiful cards and gifts in no time
thank you for popping by

Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit colours in Spectrum Noir Pens

As we all know Beatrix Potter water coloured her drawings
but there is no reason not to use the Spectrum Noir Pens to get a similar effect
I'm quite pleased with how it turned out

let the white of the paper work for you......
once i had coloured it all in i went around the white areas with the blender pen to soften some of the colours and edges
