Two totally different effects

had a delivery of some new stamps today
from LOTV only ordered them
Yesterday Lunch time
fantastic service.....

so i had to try them out
yep !!!
my Spectrum Noir Pencils  from
 were out
so why not used those lol

thought i would try to show
the same image and same color pencils
Two different effects

the bottom image
i blended out the colors  using Light Medium and Dark Pencils
with blending fluid and paper stump  exactly the same technique as when using pens
the top image
i laid down a base layer all over the image with my lightest pencil color then with very sharp points on my Medium and Dark Pencils
using little flicking strokes randomly following the contour of the image to fill in the area

you really can get some Fabulous effects
with
The Spectrum Noir Pencils

thank you for dropping by today

Birthday card

Goodness me where has the day gone
I'm very late today  had a me day just relaxing
so as you might already know
the Spectrum Noir Pencil
from
Crafters Companion
sold out at the CHA show
 how fantastic is that

while preparing all my samples i had to make
a birthday card for my son
so had to be Bebunni
apart from the fact i had already got it stamped out
 my son loves Cake!!! lol
this is done with a combo of Spectrum Noir Pens and Pencils

simply matted and layered onto core-dination
a backing paper from a Nit wit collection i had already got printed out
 and dew drops to finish
while making the card i  wondered how the  SN pencils would behave on
Centura Pear card ???
so i stamped  and set too coloring

  all i can say is
They behaved as i knew they would
Centura pearl card has a lot of tooth and has a slight  grainy texture
it just grabbed the color and blended a dream !!!
i used Layering for this little test piece
this means Direct to card  coloring is another big plus
for those who like to do clean and simple cards
using the  Spectrum Noir Pencils
  thank you for dropping by

Spectrum Noir Pencils on Kraft card

hi there crafters
i do hope your all keeping warn
we had a very hard frost come in over night
flip it's cold here ..
when i got up it looked like my first card im sharing today out side
Chilly is not the word lol

did you catch our Leann  from Crafters Companion
and the fantastic
Premier of the
Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils

i sat glued to the TV what a great show
as i said i have put these pencils through there paces
experimenting on all different  types of card stock
kraft card is so popular what a great way to test them !
i don't normally use Kraft Card so this was a challenge for me
did i have fun oh yes!!!
it can be very hard to totally block out the base card color
but not with these beauties
take a look

this is using the fabulous Sheena Douglass stamp
with the Spectrum Noir Pencils and Blending Fluid on the  buildings
on the roofs that is the White pencil on it's own
now that to me shows the quality of these pencils
you are able to get a good coverage with  these pencils
the falling snow is white Pebeo acrylic paint

this one  is using the layering technique
where you use a light -medium- and dark to get dimension
i hope you can see how well they blend
 to a smooth seamless  finish
i added the tiniest touch of white acrylic paint to the snow then on his wellies for the shine
and finally

just couldn't resist making a card with this image
he tickles me  every time is see his expression  go on admit we all feel
at some point over the festive season a bit frazzled  and grumpy
i know i do

i used  a blender pencil to blend the colors together
i hope i have been able to show you
these pencils work brilliant on Kraft Card
 thanks for dropping by today
