day 3 sneaky peeps

good morning everyone
here is another water coloured card using 3 of the sheen'a douglass new sketchy stamps they really do mix and match so well together..

i stamped the boat house then with white embossing powder heat embossed the moon and the birds it gave the moon and the birds a pearly look and of coarse it meant i could paint over without worrying about loosing the white of the card stock....
water coloured the picture as a late evening feeling ...............well hopefully lol ....
then with a spectrum noir pen added alittle shading to the birds wings and in the clouds
matted and layered onto silver mirri and contrasting core-dination card stock to frame the main image....

we have geese flying over every evening at this time of year...... thats what inspired this card
thank you for popping by today

day 2 Sheena Douglass new sketchy stamps

i had to do a winter card
using the trees and mountain stamp

stamped and water colored the image with water colour paints in cobolt blue... burnt sienna and a touch of green mixed paint
i find these the best colours for a winter  picture...got my acrylic white paints out to add the instant snow

matted and layered onto a pre printed backing paper from nit wits then onto core-dination card stock in complimentary  colour die cut the snow flakes from white card stock added  card candi and distressed the edges  with a touch of crystal glitter and glossy accent  to add a touch of sparkle....
i hope you will see how just changing the colours you  have a card for every season with these stamps
they really are  so versatile  i love being able to mix and match
more sneaky peeps later i hope you will join me

another sneaky peep

i just love this image from Sheena's new sketchy stamp set to be launched on sunday ......
so versatile
i went for Autumn colours for this card.... got abit crafty with my crafters companion water colour card
i inked up the stamp in smoky grey versafine ink for the trees on the left hand side...then used the brayer to get the mirror image of the trees and just rolled it over it came out lighter but i liked the effect gave the image some distance then stamped and embossed the sun with clear embossing powder

water coloured the sky with layers of different strenght yellows and orange with a tiny touch of brown to get the dark edge to the sun and shadows in the clouds once it was dry i distressed around the edges in spiced marmalade and walnut stain
made my own backing paper using the offcut from the sizzix leaf die as a stencil coloured the leaf shape leaving a bit of white paper here and there
the leaves i just blended all the colours together then cut and embossed matted and layered onto gold mirri card added card candi onto a 8x8" card blank
