radiant rains with stencil

P1030653
hi everyone  wow it’s the weekend
not long now till Monday when Sheena will be show casing the radiant rain sprays and daubers

here i used the paints on water colour for a back ground with the blue and pink just swiped over with a brush to make tree like  shapes, once dry i stencilled the bird  and twig with  cut and dry for a crisp image  with both the colours i used in the back ground mixed together
then with versa mark and white wow powder went over in places to add more branches and a little more contrast i wiped the edges with   white glitter embossing powder  heat embossed matted and layered onto core-dination card stock and a little satin ribbon onto a 8x8” card blank
here is another link to a video Sheena has done on making toppers

Christmas Heart Tree Decoration

P1030736

Had a change from mittens

made a vintage heart  Christmas tree decoration

i used the  largest Nestie from classic heart die…. so darn easy to  cut takes all the guess work out

you know they will be perfectly cut each time i glued this together with book binding glue left a opening so i could fill with toy stuffing then closed  again with glue the stitched and decorated as the mittens

i did add a extra bell to the point after i took the picture

this one has got the crystal snow flake  i made with acetate glossy accent and glass glitter

glued on with glossy accents it stuck really well  im impressed

Victorian style vintage mitten

P1030732

vintage pre printed mitten

kept this one  neutral to go with the Victorian   vintage material

i cut out the shape then went around the edges with book binding glue to stop it fraying

then blanket stitched in cream   but im thinking i could have  stitched in white  or brown thread

what do you think ?

added the bridle ribbon from Joanna Sheen the other embellishments are from wild orchid

more mittens

cling film and sticky two’s

P1030654

hello again  wow it’s Friday already where has this week gone?

November is nearly over im sure i have missed some weeks it’s flown by.

had fun with this card  with radiant rains paints sticky two’s and foils a very quick card to make from scratch but never the less a very pretty  effect

i made the background once again with paints and cling film  cut into sections matted onto some contrasting core-dination card then die cut and embossed the leaves on the panels i added the sticky two’s and foils  a few pearls and then 3D the leaves with  gel

i really do love the cling film effect you are always going to get an original  and the sticky two’s and foils so detailed

i loved using them,

texture paints stencil and wow powders

P1030699
good evening everyone eye test done all is well don’t need new glasses again second year in a row
im so pleased
right what did i add to the pot for this card
texture paste embossing powder radiant rain paints  water colour card stencils dies flowers centrua pearl card
and Sticky two’s with foil

with versa fine clear and swirl stencil i stencilled the design onto water colour card added the pink glitter wow powder heat embossed then with the pink and purple radiant rains swiped over in bands let it blend and dry matted onto mirri card then i used centrua pearl card  well watered down pink paint  as i have done in my other cards  put over a wash  then with tissue took most of the paint off to get a soft effect  once dry i added the bird stencil with texture paste and glitter
a thicker layer of paste this time to give  more depth
the tiny heart from the sticky two ( rub on )romance set  with pink foil became the leaves  on the branch
they are great to work with go on lots of surfaces and so easy to apply  they have a lot of detail and nothing is lost at all once foil is applied….. love them !
added a few snow flakes and flowers and peel offs
just think your own sparkly glittered patterned card  heat embossed so you loose no glitter ..perfect !!
thank you for popping by  this evening

radiant rain with texture paste

                                             P1030661
good morning bloggers
day three sneaky peeps
i added  some texture paste in the pot today with some crystal glitter
to go with the radiant rain paints stencils and embossing powder

first i  dabbed through the stencil with versa mark clear ink pad then heat embossed with gold embossing powder
wet the water colour card and added the radiant rain paints in bands they blended all by them selves  once it had settle a little i added  some denim distressing inks around the edges to get a darker effect once dry
placed the butterfly stencil on top and added the modelling compound with my finger lol ………….couldn’t be bothered to get a palette knife …  filled in the open spaces then just tapped with my finger to get some texture ….lifted the stencil and covered it with crystal glitter while it was still wet ..  it doesn’t show in this picture sorry for that….
left to dry then matted onto gold mirri and royal blue mirri  from Joanna sheen
added a few flowers..  the stencils from crafters companion are lovely why not pop over and check them out
the stencil i used for the back ground is 12”x12” size ideal for scrapbooking ….in fact all of them would be perfect for scrapbooking pages
if you would like to try adding raised texture to your cards  the paste is widely available  it can be mixed with paint or painted over your choice quite safe to use with your card stock will dry rock hard ….
im off out this morning into town eye test then shopping with mum so hopefully auto post should work
