Happy New Year

Hi there everyone 

well it's a new year

  2013

new hopes dreams and adventures

i have been very busy behind the scenes

still crafting and colouring as always

had a wonderful time with my family over the christmas period

i have cleared the decks....  

samples are all done ready for the off

and really looking forward to what's in store

from Crafters Companion

i can say i had a ball in 2012 but so looking forward to this new year

look forward to sharing  with you all 

over the coming year 

all that is left for me to say is

been trimming the tree

hi there everyone i have just sat down  after trimming my tree

im still  getting ready for Christmas only a few more bits to sort then im all caught up

the end is in sight as they say  but i'm truly sorry i haven't had time to post

finally got a half decent shot of the lights  it’s taken me 4 hour to decorate  but looks pretty

i also managed to get some pictures framed and up on my wall

these little water colours were painted ages ago  im slowly getting them all framed and in place

just wanted something different to look at lol

so as you can see im still plodding on and i think im still on track lol

we are planning a little birthday dinner for my mum  this weekend

im so looking forward to that

it will be the first time my sons and their partners mum and i have managed to all be together  in ages

i do hope your Christmas arrangements are coming along nicely

I’m hope to get some colouring done soon it seems ages since i sat and just coloured an image

 time has just run away with me this month that’s Christmas for you lol

been busy

i know i have been MIA again im so sorry

had electricians in doing some updates boy that was a day to remember no kettle lol..

then i started a mega clean up here  getting ready for Christmas

i can see a light at the end of the tunnel which is nice lol

but i haven’t stopped crafting

i have still been  doing bits and bobs of an evening

these are extra stocking fillers for my mum and DIL

had so much fun doing them thanks to the tutorials from Sarah from  Beaders Companion

i made my first bracelet and earrings to match the floating necklace

hope to get some more crafting done once the Dreaded House Work is all done and dusted

Prepare to be Fantasized With Sheena

 Fantasy paints and stamps launch day has arrived

the fabulous Leann Chivers from Crafters Companion will be standing in for Sheena

a few more things that have been treated to a new lease of life with these awesome paints

bookmarks on acetate ,cards and wall hangings

i do hope you have caught the show

and are loving how you can transform anything to go into your home or as a gift

as i said at the start of the sneaky peeps these paints are magical they truly are

i found myself just watching them do there thing…. it’s great fun to see and the results are simply the best ever

Fantasy jewellery

Good Morning everyone

i have a couple of pieces of jewellery for today

i got the blanks on line and just dropped in the fantasy paints

you can really make some stunning gifts

a made a ladies bangle and some cufflinks

Sheena Douglass fantasy paints

heavens above it’s blustery today

at least it’s not raining thank goodness

so here are a couple of papier Mache frames

that have been fantasized

using the Pebeo Fantasy paint and Sheena's new stamps

i first painted the whole frame in acrylics  then sprayed over with spray and shine from crafters companion

for that extra gloss look this also gives the paper some body

im amazed at how paints and stamps can transform a simple drab brown paper frame

into a lovely object to grace anyone's home

Sheena's Fantasy Paints

Good Morning Everyone

so back to the Fantasy paints  yes they work beautifully on flat surfaces

i set myself a challenge to push these paints as far as i could

would they go onto round surfaces ?

with alot of patience  Yes They will !!!!

you have to do the outline first let it dry then do one section at a time allowing the paint to settle and form a sort of skin

before you move around the jar to the next section

you can speed up the drying using your heat gun (the hairdryer one)

but go easy or you will bubble your leading

i think it worked very well

you could even  recycle your jam jars to make some little tea light holders for your garden

i think they would look so pretty on a summer evening dotted around just attach a wire hanger once dry the paints are set solid so no fear of them peeling off the glass

Good Morning Everyone

im all caught up on samples  so i had some me time

with my needle felting

it’s been years since i made my first needle felting project a miniature jointed teddy that i gave to my mum …

i had to search for my box of wool tops …trust me that’s a story for another day lol

i decided to make this  last night

My Little Acorn

made from 100% British wool with  crystal German glass glitter for the frost effect

i gave it a blast with the spray and shine

from crafters companion to seal the glitter and stiffen the top

im now sporting a lovely plaster on my finger lol

after stabbing myself with the needle a few times but hey i had fun making it..

well worth the pain

Fantasy Pendant and earing's

Hi there everyone

back with more Jewellery this time made with Mount Board  and Fantasy Paints

i cut the Jigsaw shape using a spellbinder jigsaw die then punched in the hole

Dripped the Pearl paint straight on top  with a cocktail stick

i found i had more control applying the paint this way

it doesn't flow over the edges  as you would think it would

then dropped in the rose colour and gave it a swirled with a cocktail stick

   left it to settle then placed in the clear gems once they dry they are held fast

once dry i coated the back of each piece with spray and shine  from Crafters Companion to seal them

  added the jump rings and findings

just imagine if you had an old jigsaw puzzle  Why not transform them into jewellery

Fantasy Paints With Sheena Douglass

Wow  it’s been killing me not to spill the beans

i got to play with some new Crafting Goodies the Fantasy paints and stamps

Sheena still can't travel long distances after her Operation so the lovely Leann  from Crafters Companion 

will be doing the TV  Launch as a Sheena Stand in bless her ...

so what are these paints …. i hear you ask …. all i can say is they are Magical….  they will go onto any surface

there are no brushes involved you drop the paints into the area and let it do it’s thing

you get some stunning effects  either on there own or by mixing the colours

they do take longer to dry than the fusion paints but honestly

it’s well worth the wait they dry rock hard ….don’t crack even on acetate

i found myself just watching the paints react with each other  lol

i truly can't express how lovely these paints are… my pictures do not do the paints justice
