Thursday already

Hi there everyone  wow this week has flown by
launch day of new stamps from Sheena Douglass
Tomorrow 31st August
so here are 2 more cards  for you

P1050348
i spritz directly onto centrua pearl card stock with the radiant rains
i didn’t want a fine mist of colour i wanted splodges to look like flower heads
so held the spray close to the card in the two colours and let it dry
once dry i cut the topper and heat embossed the sentiment in Black glitter WOW powder
then stamped and Heat embossed the  3 butterfly’s onto acetate then cut them out
matted onto more centura pearl card onto a 8x8” card blank with tiny crystal gems to finish off
i do like the strong contrast with the colours and the black on white ..

P1050337
for this i used Distress ink pads stamped directly onto centrua pearl card
  another of the fairies
doing second generation stamping to get different  tones of the pink for the backing panel
stamped out the topper then cut with my fancy Oval Spellbinder
added peel offs ribbon bow and liquid pearls
im having my grand daughter today so  wont be back on till later
have a great day and do try and catch Sheena ‘s launch show if you can
thank you for popping by

Wednesday Delights

Hi there everyone
i do hope your well.... im running late ….it’s raining here Yuk… but never mind
here are my 2 cards for today
using the Sheena Douglass Little Bit Sketchy Stamps
Launching This Friday
These  stamps are from the Ornate Snow Flake set
as i said Yesterday i don’t always feel like using paints
which is not what you expect when you hear Sheena Douglass
but im hoping to show you that you can use these stamps with your other crafting Stash
to make some really lovely cards

P1050329
heat embossed a back ground with Sparkly Gold WOW powder onto Centrua Pearl card
stamped and embossed the Sentiment and cut with  spellbinders oval die
add a tiny double satin bow  matted onto Gold Mirri
an easy but Luxurious card to achieve

my second card is CAS

P1050352
now this one was even easier i half embossed  (sorry can't remember the name of the folder i used)
onto a pre cut piece of Centura pearl card stamped the sentiment and cut out the snow flake
added some spotty organza and a few crystal gems attached the snow flake with 3Dgel
i would be happy to receive any of these cards at Christmas
you wouldn’t be able to get them in the high end shop
you could even match the colours to the person your sending them to
Ok so there you have it my little Contribution for today
thank you for popping by

Tempting Tuesdays sneaky peeps

Hi there everyone
wow these holidays do get my days mixed up  i had to check calendar to see which day it was
i lost a day some where
anyway here is day 2 of my Sneaky peep From the new Sheena Douglass
Little bit Scenic stamps
traditional stamping for these cards no mess i don’t always feel like getting messy
i love Sheena's stamps no matter what medium you want to use you will get a fab card at the end

P1050336
so  for this one is  i used just 1 of the Fairy Silhouette stamps along with 2 of the ivy leaves
i stamped directly onto Snow White Centrua pearl card from Crafters Companion
using Tim Holtz distressing ink pads in forest moss and peeled paint
it was a stroke of luck the fairies feet touched the tip of the ivy leaf … no kidding i was so chuffed with myself  lol i could have got my stamp positioner but that was in my craft room rofl if i had gone looking for that i would still be in there
the little sentiment stamp is from a set of sentiments  i already had from crafters companion matted onto core-dination card with flat backed pearls and some ribbon

card 2
P1050334
a very easy quick card to make
i cut 4 pieces of white centrua pearl cards  used the
Tim Holtz Distressing Markers  direct to stamp
the marker’s do leave a slight stain on your stamp till cleaned so i could more or less get
the colour in the same spots as first one matted onto gold mirri and core-dination card
so there you have it 2 very simple cards  using inks card  ribbons and glue
VoilĂ  … as they say
thank you for popping by

Sneaky Peep Sheena Douglass New stamps

Hi there Everyone

are you ready for some new stamps from Sheena Douglass and getting messy

with the New Pour-able Pigments to add into the melting pot of fun and colour that you always get with Sheena Douglass

not long to wait launching this Friday the 31st

im going to share 2 card today  using just 1 images from the

Little Bit Scenic stamp set called

Flying Colours

P1050346

i  made the backing paper first using my Radiant Rains Spritzers  and shimmer mist …there might even be some H20’s thrown in just for good measure they will all work beautifully together

i just lay in the colour and let them mingle all on there own

while it was still wet i covered it in cling film  and gave it a wiggled the mica will settle in the creases

it’s great fun to watch too lol

just love this Technique you get some really beautiful effects once dry

using the butterfly image i over stamped with distressing ink  then i shadow stamped and embossed  the main butterfly with  a sparkly clear powder

picked up some more  colour and wiped over with paint brush to deepen the wings

matted onto core-dination  and centura pearl card stock

from Crafters Companion  with a ribbon knot to finish off

My second card same image

P1050351

this one  was a super fast card but i love the simplicity of it

i stamped  the  butterfly image onto Neenah  and coloured in with my Spectrum Noir Pens

using just 3 colours ….CT1- CT2- CT3

the little sentiment stamps are also from Crafters Companion  i have had them for awhile

simply matted onto to core-dination card on a 8X8” Centrua Pearl card blank

how versatile  are these stamps !!

so  there you are that’s me done for today  i hope you have enjoyed your visit

do pop back for more Sneaky Peeps tomorrow

Friday is here

So are you ready for the
August bank Holiday Weekend over here in UK

using the Poppy and Daisy Stamp  from Sheena Douglass
and the sets of 6 pens the  Reds

P1050358

a very quick card  stamped onto Neenah and just a touch of the Grey Greens on stems and daisy
you could coloured the poppies in with different colours from the spectrum noir pen sets
there are more other  poppies out there than just the reds
matted onto red  holographic card then black card stock from my stash
i also coloured the pearls and ribbon with my pens to match

im having a steady day here today was very tired last night

Thursday, 23 August 2012

good morning everyone

set myself a challenge for this card
Sara from Crafters Companion is doing a TV show
over in Germany early in September show casing the Spectrum Noir Pens
she asked some of the DT if we could make some cards using
just the pens in the 6 packs and a selection of stamps  how can you say no…. Sara is a sweetie…
i choose to use the Sheena Douglass
Natures Accomplishment  stamp and the
pale hue with brown grey set of pens
P1050363
had no idea how it was going to turn out
once i had found all the colours i had to work with
i decided to go with an early evening feel  with the sun light coming from the left im really pleased with how it turned out
it’s surprising you can make some fab cards just using limited colours i must try to do more
but as you know i love my colour lol ….
i stamped on to Neenah matted and layered onto a pre printed paper i had from my stash core-dination and a touch of gingham ribbon
my grand daughter Sophia is over for the day so its back to children's TV and games till later
have a great day everyone
thank you for popping over
hugs linda xxx
